Double matting technique.

Just take two mats of the same overall size. Acid free double mats to complement to your photographs. The right sides of each layer face out and the wrong sides face each other. A double mat never involves cutting through two thicknesses of mat board.

This technique allows you to add some depth to your framing or introduce a pop of color. It s a pretty simple technique done by layering one mat on top of another so that the bottom mat acts as a decorative border around your framed artwork. Buffered to a neutral ph acid free non conservation above industry standards so your photo will stay protected for longer. Stockinette stitch on both sides.

It s an easy affordable and a more unique way to add a little something extra to the finished product. This process dubbed matting or pulling a matte is most commonly used to separate the foreground and background elements of an image and these images are often individual frames of a video file. For just a little color touch opt for a neutral or subtle top mat then select a bold or bright color for the second layer. Bevel cut to give your photo a professional finish.
